🎣 Fishing this morning and It’s always nice to be on the right side of the February line
Although we’re in the second-half of February, and spring is on the horizon, as anglers we are more than aware that the reality is we’re still firmly in the grip of winter.
It was 1C this morning as I set off for some small pool fishing but, of course, as far as fishing is concerned, it’s all about the water temperature.
I didn’t need a thermometer to tell me that it was cold.
In a couple of hours I caught a bream (that needed the landing net) and a roach.
Regardless of the size, it’s always nice to be on the right side of the February line.
Bait was two red maggots over brown crumb and maggots into six-feet of open water just beyond a sharp drop-off.
