🎣 Fishing the canal, the sunrise and the thumb
Yesterday evening, I played my final game of football for 2025. As far as fishing is concerned though, I’ve got a few more sessions before we finally say farewell to the year. Hence, I was out on the bank this morning, as night gave way to day.
After a couple of very enjoyable still water sessions, I fancied fishing the canal, which invariably is the Staffordshire & Worcestershire. Although there are other options, this is my local.
The video begins with a beautiful sunrise, which quickly evaporated as wet and overcast took over. That’s how it remained for the three hours that I spent next to the water. I knew it was going to be a challenge and that proved to be correct.
Fishing close to a lock, so plenty of fish-holding features, I couldn’t fault the location. The fish didn’t want to play ball though and, by the time I drove away, the only thing I had caught was my finger in the car door.
