🎣 I might have hobbled and encountered a crazed driver but the angling show goes on with bream and perch on the bank
There’s more in the video but, after my football-related injury yesterday evening, my start to the day was much slower than normal.
However, albeit with a process of hobbling along, I got there in the end.
It was a beautiful start to the day and, after encountering a crazed driver who appeared from nowhere and overtook on double white lines, just avoiding a head-on collision with an oncoming car by a split-second, I settled down to peace and tranquility.
I don’t know about you but I don’t identify with much of today’s society.
In the world but not of it, is how I describe my position.
I fished a prawn on a pool 2-3 rod-lengths out in open water over brown crumb, red maggots and prawns.
Another short – but very enjoyable – session of just over a couple of hours, I caught bream and perch.
Tackle: Greys Prodigy TX 12’ rod. Shimano 3500M reel. Maxima Chameleon 4lb line. Waggler float 1g. Drennan Super Specialist size 10 hook.
Nature notes: Two grey wagtail sightings. Song thrush landed in tree alongside the swim, with a brief burst of song before moving on. Grey heron stalking the far bank margins. Stock dove in woodland beyond far bank.
