🌸 Blogging in April 2025

🎣 The final day of April and my last angling session of the month 🎶 Still listening to The Miracles

We are certainly enjoying a beautiful spell of weather at the moment.

Unfortunately, the warmer the temperature, the more it tends to bring out the worst in some people.

Being out and about at dawn though means the only noise you hear is the singing of birds.

It’s a great time to be outdoors. Especially if you’re fishing.

On a pool, I fished with prawn 2-3 lengths from the bank in six-feet of water, over red maggots, prawns and brown crumb.

I caught bream, perch and roach. Apart from the one bream, they were all small fish.

It was also a short session, which meant not long after 8.00 a.m. I was packing away and driving home.

Tackle: Greys Prodigy TX 12’ rod. Shimano 3500M reel. Maxima Chameleon 4lb line. Waggler float 1g. Drennan Super Specialist size 10 hook.

Nature notes: Chiffchaff singing in the immediate area. Several ring-necked parakeets, also in the local vicinity.

As far as car music is concerned, I’m still listening to The Miracles’ Do It Baby album from 1974.

I love vinyl and, apart from cassettes, that’s all we had back in the day.

However, my Spotify account is definitely well-used, and I most certainly get my money’s worth.

Back to the current playing choice though, I’m going for a change.

What will it be?

As they say, watch this space.
