Christmas In The Village 2025
Since we moved to our present home, five years ago, one thing I’ve always looked forward to was the Christmas In The Village event. Unfortunately, often working on Saturdays meant that it has been a hit-and-miss affair.
This year though – my first full one of retirement – ensured that it was embedded in my diary once the date had been announced. The village in question is Gornal Wood and it’s a good mile plus from where we live, but a pleasant walk down the lane and up the hill.
With the weather not being brilliant this year though, we ‘cheated’ and parked just outside the village and walked from there. There were no ‘Christmas In The Village’ banners up this time but I used a screenshot from a previous event for the lead image.
It’s not a huge affair but still plenty going on. Obviously it’s Christmas In The Village. Not the city. Or the town. The village.
