🎣 Time flies when you’re having fun, as they say, and my seventh and final fishing trip of the holiday saw me once again on the rocks at Trearddur Bay.
It was a morning session, fishing an incoming tide, and was perfect in terms of everything else that I wanted to do during the day.
It was another short trip as well, which was cut down in terms of time due to the fact that I ran out of bait.
As well as the wrasse species, I caught my first pollock of the week, which means I ended the holiday with four: ballan wrasse, corkwing wrasse, pollock and rock goby.
Tackle: SeaTech Outlaw 12’ telescopic rod and Daiwa Jupiter Z 6000 reel, loaded with 20lb line. The float was 5” and the hooklength 2’. Size 2 Kamasan Aberdeen hook. Ragworm.
Nature notes: Oystercatcher sitting eggs.
🏊 I also had my final pool session of the holiday, with my granddaughter.
I didn’t stay that long because she wanted her nan (my wife) to go as well, so we swapped after twenty minutes.
One of the reasons that I wanted to go was to do some brief filming for the next The Church at Hiraeth Wednesday Words of Wisdom.
🏡 We are now home and, in reference to the comment I made regarding the first holiday blog entry, it’s time to upload the vacation posts.
I loved being in Trearddur Bay but it’s really nice to be back at Hiraeth.
Home is where the heart is. Absolutely.
