🎣 Wrasse and a goby from the Trearddur Bay rocks 🎶 Gettin’ Ready
🎣 After a couple of sessions – albeit short ones – where I managed just the one fish in both, this time I doubled my advantage.
Still on the rocks, but fishing a new spot, I caught a small ballan wrasse and a rock goby, with the latter taking me to three species for the week.
Tackle: SeaTech Outlaw 12’ telescopic rod and Daiwa Jupiter Z 6000 reel, loaded with 20lb line. The float was 5” and the hooklength 2’. Size 2 Kamasan Aberdeen hook. Fresh lugworm.
Nature notes: Lots of coastal flowers in bloom on the rocks, including thrift, which are captured in the video. Swallow feeding over the sea. Oystercatcher on eggs.
🎶 I’ve done hardly any driving while on holiday. Lots of walking but not much time in the car.
Still, after thoroughly enjoying the Temptin’ Temptations album, it was time to change.
I’m currently on a roll with my favourite male group, so switched to their fourth studio album.
Gettin’ Ready was released in 1966 and, although both featured as producers, it was the transition from Smokey Robinson to Norman Whitfield as the main man.
Favourite track? Well, although I love every one on the album – including the two bonus songs – take your pick from Ain’t Too Proud To Beg, Get Ready and Little Miss Sweetness.
