One run, one pike and two sessions in credit

I don’t keep a written note, so it’s not something I feel I’m competitively up against, but fishing twice today means that I’ve done 286 sessions so far this year.

Today, October 11, is the 284th day of 2023, so if you look at it like that, I’m two sessions in credit.

Fishing a pool, I had two rods out, one with a sprat and the other a roach.

I enjoy float fishing for pike very much, there’s definitely something riveting about watching a large orange-tipped piece of plastic lying on the surface.

Even more so when it starts to move and that was the case today with the roach that was picked up.

It wasn’t a massive pike but when you take the venue into consideration, it’s not bad.

I enjoyed it though and, as always, that’s the important thing.

Are you a pike angler? Started your dead bait campaign yet?

  1. Stewart, you hit the nail right on the proverbial with “Godincidences”.
My wife and I are acutely aware of Godincidences throughout our 42 years together. He is why we live where we live.
