Daison update, fishing on the Montgomery Canal, work, on the drive eventually and the garden

With it being a working day, I took fishing tackle with me and, on this occasion, I stopped off on the Montgomery Canal.

You can see how I got on via the video, as well as the Daison update.

Work went well, I enjoyed it.

I did two interviews, wrote a match preview and some other stuff.

It was all good until I got almost home.

Living in the immediate vicinity of a primary school, it’s chaos twice a day.

It seems as if every parent has the single-minded focus of parking as close to the gates as possible.

Unfortunately, we live opposite a gate.

They also park bumper-to-bumper around the corners making the roads just single track.

What made it worse today is that a woman had parked her car across my drive.

With vehicles behind me and in front, I left my car in the road until she returned.

It’s got worse since the children returned to school in September, I think it’s a new batch of parents as it was manageable previously.

You can tell you live in a nice area though when your car is in the middle of the road and no one hits the horn, they all just sit there patiently.

Anyway, it wasn’t my fault, it was the one who parked across the drive.

She came back, drove off and the street was finally cleared.

Do you live near a school? What’s it like?

Maybe you’re one who parks the car across people’s drives?

I then went in the garden, where I’m currently working on the entry area at the side of our home.

The fence is now painted and I’m taking out old gravel.

Once that’s completed, I’ll lay down some membrane and fill the gaps between the slabs with fresh gravel.

There’s no rush, I’m enjoying plodding on with it.

  1. Stewart, you hit the nail right on the proverbial with “Godincidences”.
My wife and I are acutely aware of Godincidences throughout our 42 years together. He is why we live where we live.
