You can never have too much of a good thing – second angling session of the morning
After an enjoyable couple of hours on the small pond, instead of going straight home, when I got in the car I drove to another venue to do some more fishing.
After all, you can never have too much of a good thing, can you.
It is a pool that I’m familiar with and I set up next to lilies, where I baited the spot with brown crumb and maggots.
The tackle approach was as per the previous session, except it was two metres deep and fishing the bottom, I nipped on a small shot three inches from the hook.
I fished for over three hours and although I did have a few bites, I blanked.
That’s fishing for you, isn’t it.
Nature watch: great black-backed gull circling the lake. Four house martins briefly feeding. Three well-developed mute swan cygnets trying to find their wings for the first time.
I managed £100 this month no complaints, i read that some of the £100,000 and £50,000 winners only had approximately £1,500 invested and that two winners only invested in July and won so they’ve been lucky.
Nice one, Alan.
They did well, didn’t they!
I guess that’s the way it goes, the way we are though is if we win what we do each month, we’re happy.
If a biggie did come along it would be a nice bonus but we don’t sit around in the meantime talking about what we’re going to do with non-existent winnings.
