Starting the month – and the season – how I intend to carry on

Dividing my angling year as I do, September 1 marks the start of three autumn months.

Kicking off with a short session on a small pool, you can see some of the fish caught, as well as the rig, in the video above.

Just eighteen inches deep, keeping a low profile was important.

I do enjoy the challenge of this type of venue very much indeed, and as long as you’re realistic about the size of fish that you catch, they can be extremely rewarding.

Nature watch: Kingfisher in flight across the pond. Song thrush.

  1. I managed £100 this month no complaints, i read that some of the £100,000 and £50,000 winners only had approximately £1,500 invested and that two winners only invested in July and won so they’ve been lucky.

    1. Nice one, Alan.
      They did well, didn’t they!
I guess that’s the way it goes, the way we are though is if we win what we do each month, we’re happy.
If a biggie did come along it would be a nice bonus but we don’t sit around in the meantime talking about what we’re going to do with non-existent winnings.
