Monday memory: Hurst Hill Labour AC junior angler of the year
I’ve got a few angling trophies in my man cave and looking at them today, I chose one in particular to feature in my Monday memories.
It goes back to 1977, when I was fifteen years of age.
I was really proud to get the junior angler of the year, based on points accumulated during the season while fishing club contests.
I managed £100 this month no complaints, i read that some of the £100,000 and £50,000 winners only had approximately £1,500 invested and that two winners only invested in July and won so they’ve been lucky.
Nice one, Alan.
They did well, didn’t they!
I guess that’s the way it goes, the way we are though is if we win what we do each month, we’re happy.
If a biggie did come along it would be a nice bonus but we don’t sit around in the meantime talking about what we’re going to do with non-existent winnings.
