The first overnight frost of the autumn but, after scraping ice, the angling show rolls on
It was a chilly end to the day, as I went to bed some time after midnight. I was still surprised though, to encounter an ice-encrusted car, a few hours later when I woke. I keep a scraper in the boot however, so after a bit of elbow grease, I was ready for the open road.
After yesterday’s session on the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal, I decided to return to the same stretch. If you’re enjoying something, keep doing it. When it comes to my own fishing choices, that’s pretty much how I go.
I knew it was going to be a tough session, therefore being realistic is always an important ingredient to add to the mix. So, come the final whistle, I was happy with my catch of a few perch and roach. I fished for a couple of hours.
