Although we had another overnight frost, I was prepared on this occasion, as I placed a fleece blanket over the windshield of my car. I peeled it off and was ready to go, with no scraper needed.
It was another Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal session and, in spite of the cold conditions and clear water, I caught. On the penultimate day of October, I banked both perch and roach in the three-hour session.
