Dilwyn the Bedlington terrier, before and after his visit to the groomers, and memories of rough collies
This month’s diary entry for our beloved Bedlington terrier, captures footage before his visit to the groomers, and then after when we collected him. He looks much better and also smells much nicer as well.
We take him around once every ten weeks, so it’s not too bad in terms of cost. The big plus of the breed is that they don’t shed hair. When I was young, along with my mom and dad, we used to visit my grandparents and aunt in the Low Hill area of Wolverhampton.
They had rough collies (the lassie dog) and I can remember that every time we had been there, I was covered in dog hairs. Wearing anything black was not advised. Incidentally, my wife’s dog at home when she was young, was also a rough collie.
His name was Rufus and the stories she tells about him are incredible. They would go shopping in Great Bridge (they lived in Tipton) and tell him to stay while they went inside a store. Then, when they came out, he was still sitting there. I can imagine Dilwyn doing that. In my dreams.
