The Church at Hiraeth: It’s good to chase dreams but don’t forget to live them as well
Welcome to The Church at Hiraeth Wednesday Words of Wisdom, the first of the new month.
We’ve all heard the phrase ‘Chasing your dreams’ and, of course, it’s good to be ambitious. In itself, there’s nothing wrong with that.
Remember though, that if you’re running after something, you might not actually catch it. It’s possible to spend your whole life on a wild goose chase, seeking that which you’ll never find.
On the other hand, it’s much easier to be ‘Living the dream’, especially if you’re easily pleased and realistic about life and what it has to offer. The passage from the Bible is Philippians 4, where Paul writes about having been in times of plenty and being in need, but either way, still knowing the secret of contentment.
