Sunday morning perch fishing on the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal
After an early rise of 5.30 a.m. and a busy day following, I was ready for an early night on Saturday. Well, it all depends on what you consider ‘early’ but I was in bed before 10.00 p.m. I must say, I don’t have a regular bedtime schedule, I just retire when I’m tired.
I was up again nice and early at the same time, on Sunday morning though, as I started the day on the bank. Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and after my estate lake pike session yesterday, today it was perch on the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal.
It was raining as I set off from the drive at home but, in line with the forecast, by the time I had parked at my destination, it had stopped. Although there are miles of canal available in my local area, the parking places are fairly limited.
On this occasion, it involved a decent walk, as I passed two bridges and locks to get to the place I had chosen. I caught perch and, as always, you can follow the session via the video. Text and footage, the perfect blog post, as far as I’m concerned.
