In conversation with Luxe Lakes fishery and Luke 1977 fashion brand owner, Luke Roper
“We’ve got to stop meeting like this”, were the words Luke Roper spoke, as we bumped into each other again on the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal towpath. To be precise though, there was no literal contact involved, certainly from my perspective, as I was sitting there fishing on the canal. Likewise, Luke, who was out on one of his regular runs.
Luke had a mention in a blog post a week or so back, when I referred to Luxe Lakes. This time we had a more lengthy chat and recorded the conversation. In addition to the fishing, which takes up most of the footage, we also chatted Luke 1977, the fashion brand that bears both his name and birth year. Plus, Aston Villa as well.
Although the conversation is included in my previous blog post, which also covers the angling session I was on, I thought it warranted a video of its own. I have been thinking about interviews (although I see them more as chats) for a while now and funnily enough, the idea was on my mind just before Luke appeared.
In my last job, working in professional football media, interviewing and creating videos were a big part of my duties. Both of which I enjoyed very much indeed. Footage is an important ingredient in my blog anyway, with both text and video part of each post. I certainly enjoyed the chat with Luke. He’s an excellent communicator and very passionate.
