🎣 Fishing the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal and In angling conversation with Richard from Stourport-on-Severn
When I went to buy maggots yesterday afternoon, I was asked a question in the tackle shop. “Where are you going fishing?” and, at that precise moment in time, I hadn’t actually decided on a location.
However, my mind was made up for me when I replied, “ The Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal”. I live close to the canal and, especially as it’s a rural one, travelling time is next to nothing. Especially on a Sunday morning.
Hence, the following day as I was up and about while it was still dark, my destination was already determined. The only juggling I had done in my mind, following the conversation in the tackle shop, was to determine the exact place that I would go to.
I had several options but I eventually settled on one. As always, you can follow the session in the video. I caught small roach, which means that it’s nine sessions on the bounce that I’ve avoided a blank. Certainly at this time of the year, that’s a decent statistic.
