🎥 The Man Who Knew Too Much, starring James Stewart and Doris Day
Released in 1956, The Man Who Knew Too Much is Directed by Alfred Hitchcock. It stars James Stewart (as Ben McKenna) and Doris Day (as his wife, Jo McKenna).
While on holiday in French Morocco, they are befriended by a man, who unknown to them at that time, works for the British government.
When he is stabbed, just before he dies he tells Ben McKenna that there’s a plot to assassinate the British PM in London. When they become aware that he has the information, his son, Hank, is kidnapped by enemies and held hostage so that the British are not alerted.
Ben and Jo go to London to search of Hank. They not only find him but thwart the plans to kill the PM as well. They are reunited with their son at an embassy event, when Jo sings ‘Que Sera Sera’ very loudly, believing her son is elsewhere in the building. It’s their song, he is and he responds.
With a budget of $1.2 million, it made $11.3 million at the box office. The movie runs for 120 minutes.
