✝️ The Church at Hiraeth: A blessing in disguise
As we move on in 2026, it’s time for the first Wednesday Words of Wisdom from The Church at Hiraeth.
We’ve all heard the saying that something bad which happened was ‘a blessing in disguise’. There are probably numerous examples from our own life that we could use to illustrate the point.
Such a thing happened to me on the last day of 2025, although I wouldn’t exactly refer to it as ‘bad’, more of a situation where you forgot to do something and, as a result, there was a positive outcome. The principle is the same though.
The verses of scripture used come from James 1 and, in the video, you can see how it links with the theme.
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance
