Episode 1: Naani’s Return

Naani returns from Pakistan and Mr. Khan is over the moon when plans are made to put her in a care home.

However, when he discovers that she has 25,000 in savings, he thinks that Sam (played by Sally Lindsay) from the home, is only after her money, so he begins an elaborate plan to intervene.

It’s Pakistani rupees, so only worth £150.

He ends up, as always, getting in trouble with his family.

Naani decides to give the money to the family and Shazia uses it as a deposit on a wedding dress.

Episode 2: The In-Laws

The Maliks are visiting the Khans to discuss the wedding plans but, as always, Mrs. Malik keeps making snobbish remarks, which leads to inevitable conflict.

Alia is at a party, where she gets arrested for criminal damage and both families visit the police station.

In the ensuing chaos, Alia is released, Mr. Khan is questioned about posting the party details on Facebook (which led to the gatecrashers who caused the damage) and Mrs. Malik is arrested for assaulting a policeman (Amjad, who is now a PCSO).

Episode 3: Aunty Noor

Mrs. Khan’s sister, Aunty Noor, comes to stay and tries to entice Alia to New York to pursue a modelling career.

Meanwhile, Mr. Khan uses his wife’s supermarket staff discount card to bulk-buy nappies, which he sells on for profit.

It ends with him getting into trouble and Alia not going to New York.

Instead she becomes the model for hijabs at the supermarket in Sparkhill.

Episode 4: Farmer Khan

Initially totally disinterested in visiting the city farm, when he realises that Prince Charles is going to be in attendance, suddenly Mr. Khan enthusiastically decides to go.

He turns up in a tartan kilt and expensive country clothes and pushes himself to be introduced to Charles.

After delivering a calf, he actually gets his wishes.

Episode 5: Stags And Hens

It’s pre-wedding fun for Shazia and Amjad.

The former goes to a beauty salon with her mom, nan and Debbie.

Meanwhile, Riaz, Dave and the imam, who Mr. Khan collects from the airport, spend the evening with Amjad.

The imam turns out to be a party animal, who wants to go out and drink alcohol, but Mr. Khan won’t do it, so he sends him to Keith next door to drink his home brew.

After a disastrous evening all round, Shazia calls the wedding off but in the end it’s back on.

Episode 6: The Wedding

It’s wedding day for Amjad and Shazia and everything goes wrong.

Mrs. Khan decides she’s not going to attend and Mr. Khan locks Amjad in the freezer at the supermarket.

Eventually though, it all comes together and the wedding goes well.

Amjad and Shazia spend their first night on the floor in Mr. Khan’s living room and he gives them a monopoly game to play.

A Khan Family Christmas

Ten months after the wedding and Shazia is heavily pregnant

Living next door to Mr. Khan, her boiler breaks so she and Amjad move in with her mom and dad.

While there, she goes into labour and the birthing pool plan goes out of the window when Mr. Khan destroys the pool.

He’s forced to get a doctor and even though he’s an Indian, he has no choice.

The baby is born on Christmas Day.
