🎣 Fishing | Early morning on the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal 🏡 The garden at Hiraeth | Drive, path, patio and summer bedding plants
Sometimes I choose to fish early morning, on other occasions the decision is made for me. With a church meeting in our home this evening, today was a case of the latter.
Therefore, I was up again first thing and, after loading the car and making a flask of tea, on my way to a stretch of local canal. Although I was fishing with maggots, my intention was to catch perch.
My wish was granted, as I ended the session with just my favourite species on the bank. There wasn’t anything of any size but at least I caught.
Flexibility is the key. On my recent tench trip, three intended hours became five. On that session, I just knew that it would come good eventually. And it did.
After fishing, my wife and I did some work outside our home. I scraped the drive and the path at the front of the home, while Debby did some weeding.
The scraping didn’t take too long, due to the fact I keep on top of things. Little and often is the approach. Even though it wasn’t in a bad state before though, it still looks much better now.
We then moved to the back garden, where the recent purchase of summer bedding plants found their new home. In addition, there was a basic tidy of the patio, with more to come. Visit the home page.
