🎣 A visit to RD Tackle featuring Nyah, Dave, Glen and Jason, followed by the final spring session on the Staffs & Worcs Canal
If you have a good fishing tackle shop on your doorstep, so to speak, that’s great. I would say though, for many of us, we do have to travel.
In my case, it’s to Brierley Hill, which isn’t too bad. It could be worse.
It was destination RD Tackle, ahead of the final angling session of the month of May, and therefore the last one of spring 2026.
I headed for the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal and after a few lost fish to begin with, I netted a number of perch. Some of them were quite decent as well.
The session lasted three hours, with it getting quieter as the time moved on. The appearance of a pike ensured that it was a much slower finish than the opening couple of hours. Visit the home page.
