🎣 Catching fish, talking about Wrexham AFC and watching eight little egrets on the way home
After a couple of Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal sessions on the bounce, I made it a hat-trick when I returned this morning. I was back on the section where I had previously caught just gudgeon.
I was fishing before 6.30 a.m. and it was light; the alarm needs to go back another ten minutes. I prefer it this way though, as you can get a decent session in and still be home before breakfast.
I got off to a good start with a brace of gudgeon on the bank in the first two casts. Then I added small perch, although one needed the landing net. I fished for three hours, caught fish, talked about Wrexham and saw eight little egrets on the way home.
