Great white egret and a life principle
After getting home from work, although it gets dark early, there was still time for a walk along the lane with my wife, dog and binoculars.
My Swarovski binoculars always go with me and it’s no problem at all to have them around my neck as we walk.
Making our way back home, a great white egret flew low across the bungalows (including ours) on the one side of the lane.
I didn’t even need binoculars to see it, it’s just that I had an even better view than without them.
The life principle is that because I was out, I saw something special.
The bird could have flown over just yards away from home and I’d have missed it because I wasn’t in the right place.
It’s the same as the angling principle that I live by.
Regardless of the conditions, no matter how adverse they may be, as long as your bait’s in the water you’ve always got a chance.
It doesn’t matter how difficult the challenge may be, as long as you’re engaged then there’s always always a possibility that something will happen.
Every single bird that I’ve seen this year in the valley has been spotted because I’ve been out there.
It really is as simple as that
