A British black and white movie from 1945, Murder In Reverse tells the story of Tom Masterick (played by William Hartnell) who serves fifteen years for killing a man.
Masterick knows that he didn’t though and upon release he tracks him down.
Even though he could have come forward to clear Masterick, he didn’t.
He kills him this time though and it ends with the thought, how can you now punish a man for a crime he’s already been to prison for.
The young Jill Masterick is played by Petula Clarke and the adult by Dinah Sheridan.
