Chase A Crooked Shadow is a crime movie from 1958 and set in Spain.
Anne Baxter plays Kimberley Prescott, who is a rich heiress returning to her exclusive Spanish villa after the death of her father and brother.
Then, a man claiming to be her brother turns up. The local police officer investigates the three people who have now moved in to the villa with Prescott.
He can’t catch them out though, and in the end she breaks down saying that he can’t be her brother, because he is definitely dead and she tampered with the brakes on his car the day he crashed.
We then find out that all four of the other people are police officers who have been working an elaborate plot to get her to confess.
An excelled film, especially with the twist at the end.
