Back on the domestic road with The New Saints
The first domestic fixture of the season for The New Saints that involves an overnight stay, was the game against Haverfordwest County.
Travelling Friday lunchtime, we passed through some beautiful countryside in mid-Wales.
It’s where my own Welsh roots are from.
We stayed overnight at the Mercure hotel, north of Swansea.

The 100% start to the JD Cymru Premier season continues for The New Saints
With work being carried out at their ground in Pembrokeshire, Haverfordwest County is currently playing at LHP Stadium, the home of Carmarthen Town.
Just the one goal separated the sides, come the final whistle, with Adrian Cieslewicz scoring in the 21st minute.
Although in fifth place – and five points off the leaders – The New Saints has games in hand.
