🎥 Sword Of Sherwood Forest (1960) starring Richard Greene and Peter Cushing
Filmed in County Wicklow, the Hammer Film Productions release follows the basic theme of a Robin Hood film.
Robin (Richard Greene) is the good guy who battles with the Sheriff Of Nottingham (Peter Cushing) and ends up happily ever after with Maid Marian (Sarah Branch).
The movie also features Desmond Llewellyn (Q in the early James Bond films) and Oliver Reed, both uncredited.
It didn’t get particularly good reviews when it was released, and so there was no sequel, but I enjoyed it.
