🎣 I started the day with a lie-in, so it was an evening angling session to feed the piscatorial hunger today
I had a busy day yesterday, so I decided to have a Saturday morning lie-in. I haven’t had one of those for as long as I can remember, and it was very nice indeed.
My body clock still kicked in about 5.00 a.m. though but, on this occasion, instead of stirring, I rolled over and went back to sleep.
I didn’t wake again until 9.45 a.m. so I think it’s true to say that I needed that.
Fishing took place early evening, as I once again went lake fishing for perch. Yes, I enjoyed yesterday’s lure outing so much, I went back for more of the same.
I was there for about fifty minutes and, although I did have a few enquiries, in the end it was just a tiny pike that saved the day.
The coots are starting to group together now that we’re in autumn and I counted a flock of 40 birds on the lake.
