🎣 An early morning start on the Staffs/Worcs Canal, with three species of fish on the bank
Without planning it that way, I find that I tend to do a certain number of identical angling sessions on the bounce, before I then move on to something else.
Currently, I’ve been fishing the Staffs/Worcs Canal, and today’s trip was my fifth consecutive visit, including the very short outing with my grandson.
Again on the bank at first light, I fished the boat channel in the same spot where I was yesterday, as I got the new month’s angling underway.
I caught gudgeon, perch and roach. As always, fish are featured in the video, as well as the tackle used, the swim fished etc.
The session was about 2.5 hours.
As per my previous visits, a pheasant was calling from the field behind the swim. A grey heron landed on the far bank and a calling common buzzard flew low over the canal.
A single thrush landed on grass behind me, before disappearing into undergrowth.
