🎥 One Million Years B.C. (1966) starring Raquel Welch and John Richardson
A Hammer Film Productions movie, John Richardson is Tumac, who is forced to leave his savage and uneducated tribe.
As he wanders, he encounters dinosaurs, but is rescued by an advanced tribe who are far more civilised and refined.
He connects with Loana (played by Raquel Welch) and, after internal squabbling, he is banished once more and Loana joins him.
Eventually the two tribes engage in a battle but then the volcano erupts.
Once it stops, many are dead but the film ends with the survivors of both sides going off together to start a new life.
Filmed in the Canary Islands. It had a budget of £422K but made $8million at the US box office.
