On the Staffordshire/Worcestershire Canal, fishing with Ian Clarke
It was good to catch up with Ian Clarke again, this time on the Staffs/Worcs Canal, where we enjoyed a very pleasant couple of hours or so fishing together.
We both caught throughout the session and, with nothing particularly big on the bank, we called it a draw.
The important thing though – as you can see in the video – is that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
I fished with double red maggot in the boat channel, over mixed maggots and brown crumb.
Tackle: Greys Prodigy TX 12’ rod. Shimano 3500M reel. Maxima Chameleon 4lb line. Drennan waggler 1.2g. Drennan Super Specialist size 16 hook.
Nature notes: One female mallard, the only water bird on the canal. Grey heron passed through, high in flight.
