Variety is the spice of life and this time it’s mini-jigging for perch
I’ve enjoyed my recent angling sessions very much – that goes without saying – but there’s nothing wrong with doing something different.
In this case, I fancied some mini-jigging for perch and that’s exactly what I did.
I didn’t need to get up at the crack of dawn either, so a very pleasant and easy-going session.
It was just a quick trip to a pool and there’s more in the video.
Tackle: Greys G Lite 6’ Spin (4-8 lb), Fox Rage Ultron 2500 reel, 18lb Sufix 832 low vis green braid on reel. Drennan Double Strength 10lb (3m) joined to the braid with a small swivel. Micro jig head 0.7g, size 6 hook. Small rubber fish. All knots (3) blood knots.
Nature notes: Two adults and one juvenile great crested grebe on the pool.
