It was my intention anyway to begin the month with two angling sessions, so early afternoon I returned to the pool that I had been on previously at first-light.
The conditions weren’t ideal, especially with the beautiful weather bringing out lots and lots of people.
However, I’m a great believer that as long as your bait’s in the water then you’ve always got a chance.
Fishing prawn over loose maggots between the lily pads, first cast I banked a roach.
I went on to catch perch, the best being the one in the video lead image.

Nature notes: Kingfisher, several sightings.
Once home, after cleaning the car, I watched Caernarfon Town play Legia Warsaw on Sgorio’s YouTube channel.
The 5-0 defeat – and 11-0 on aggregate – meant that the Cofis exited the UEFA Conference League.
The New Saints remains the only Welsh side left on the European stage this season.
