⚖️ Austerity August
August 1
I have noticed recently that my belly has been increasing in size, therefore as far as calories are concerned, it’s austerity August for me.
Today, I’ve had four salad wraps for lunch, a bowl of weetabix for dinner and an apple.
I’m looking forward to my weigh-in come the morning.
The target for August is one stone (14 pounds).
August 2
A good start and lost 3lb, but it’s often like that initially.
The challenge now is to keep focused, stay disciplined and see the month as a marathon rather than a sprint.

August 3
Lost 1lb, making a total of 4lb.
August 4
No scales for a few days, as I’m on the road.
Lots and lots of great food in front of me but I’m being good.
Eating well but keeping it healthy.
August 5
Three good meals today but definitely on the healthy side.
August 8
Back on the scales this morning and a couple of pounds added.
However, it was very early, I’ve eaten well (but healthy) in the last few days and you often get ups as well as downs as far as the weight loss graph is concerned.
August 9
Not only back to pre-travel weight, but gone one better, as another pound shed.
Total so far in August: 5lb.
August 10
Four wraps, two slices of toast and a bowl of weetabix did the trick yesterday.
Another drop today, that’s 6lb to date.
August 13
Been on the same weight for three days, but another pound gone today, which means I’m at the halfway point with 7lb lost.
August 15
Just a bowl of porridge and beans on toast yesterday, made me confident that when I stepped on the scales this morning, I would be pleased.
I was. It’s the midway point of the month and I’ve lost another pound, making a total of 8lb.
August 19
The bad news is that I haven’t lost any weight for four days.
The good news is that I haven’t put any on either.
August 24
After a few days in Lithuania, although I kept it healthy, I did eat well, and I’ve gone in the wrong direction as far as stepping on the scales is concerned.
However, I’m back home and I’ll be back on track
August 28
In the final few days of the month and 2lb gone, making it 10lb in total.
