🎣 Fishing the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal and it’s a three degrees day

It was a three degrees start to the day. That’s the air temperature, by the way, not the singing trio from Philadelphia. For the record, I’m currently listening to The Temptations’ A Song For You, in the car.

As we move on into the second half of March, the days are good – certainly compared to January and February just gone – but the nights often have a chill to them. It’s definitely onwards and upwards now though.

Fishing the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal, I settled on a familiar spot. I don’t find the canal to be a hotspot type of venue and, if ever my target swim was taken, I’m always more than happy to fish elsewhere.

I fished for three hours and, although I had a decent perch on for a few seconds, the hook pulled and that was that. I had no other bites either. It was definitely a tough session.
