Session three on the gold mine and the ratio is tangles to fish
I set the alarm at 5:45 a.m. this morning and, can you believe it, I woke naturally, looked at my phone and it was 5:44.
In no time at all, I was up and on my way for another visit to the gold mine pool.
It lived up to its name again as I ended the short session with just three fish, but they were all quality, especially when you take the venue into account.
Usually we think of fish to bites ratios, or if you’re a carp angler, fish to runs.
However, on this pool it’s fish to tangles, and it’s by far the most challenging venue that I’ve been on for a long time.
Fishing just off the rod tip, I presented two white maggots over brown crumb and mixed maggots.
Tackle: Greys Prodigy TX 12’ rod. Shimano 3500M reel. Maxima Chameleon 4lb line. Drennan 0.6g waggler. Drennan Super Specialist size 14 hook.

£75 same as last month for me my brother did better with £200 this month but it’s his first win in along time . Any amount is a bonus and been lucky the last 12 months to win something good luck for next month .
You did better than me, but then again we have had some decent wins recently.
I’ll just have to postpone my full retirement until May at the earliest now!
