A walk around Prestatyn, the northerly limit of Offa’s Dyke Path

I’ve been to Prestatyn on many occasions previously, for football games at Bastion Gardens, but last year, while on holiday, was the first time I visited the town proper.

We went again this time round as well, for another enjoyable walk predominantly along the high street.

Although it’s now in Denbighshire, historically it was part of Flintshire.

There are some magnificent buildings in the town, which take us back to the birth of railways, where the town became a popular seaside destination.

It’s also the northerly limit of Offa’s Dyke Path.
