No fishing for two days, nice to be back on track
I haven’t been fishing for a couple of days, which is no big deal to most anglers.
For someone who gets out a lot though, it’s not the norm.
There was no particular – and certainly no negative – reason why though.
I just did other things instead.
One of my personal taglines is ‘Passionate about much, obsessed about nothing’ and that sums it up perfectly.
Nevertheless, it was nice to get back on track, with a late afternoon visit to a small pool.
In pursuit of roach, I fished a grain of corn over loose sweetcorn in a couple of metres of water.
The pool drops off sharply, and goes from inches to metres very quickly, so just a gentle flick of the float was required.
I had regular action from my target species and, regardless of size, it’s always nice to catch fish by design.
The windy day turned wet but, as we all know as anglers, don’t let the conditions dictate.
Just go fishing anyway.
