Premium bonds draw and life’s philosophy
It’s that time of the month when the premium bonds draw is made and my wife and I check to see whether the result has been kind to us.
On this occasion, I had two wins and she had three.
Both of mine were £100 each, while my wife had £100, £50 and £25, making a total of £375.
It’s not a lot of money to many people but, since I went semi-retired, it’s been a big part of our income.
We live a simple life – by choice – and if we get a figure like this month’s each time round, we are happy.
I’ve had the mindset for decades but especially so now that I’m in my sixties, that quality of life, rather than money and possessions, is the most important thing.
