A nature walk in Cotwall End Valley

Early afternoon I went for a walk with my wife and dog in the local woodland.

If I say it’s on our doorstep, that might not be literally true, but it’s only seconds away and that’s good enough for me.

I love the great outdoors, and living in a valley, with woods, brooks and meadows certainly ticks the box as far as I’m concerned.

This is where video comes into its own, as footage communicates what words can’t.

If you’re an outdoors person then you’ll see why I love living where I do.

Yesterday I saw my first ever marsh tit in the valley, which takes me to 44 species for the year.

I’ve been keeping a designated nature diary for Cotwall End Valley since we moved to the area.
