A pool roach session to start the day
Although not bitterly cold, the temperatures have returned, in the last few days, to a more normal level for this time of year.
As far as the digital readout was concerned, I was just on the right side of requiring the ice scraper this morning, as I set off for an angling session on a pool.
I’ve fished predominantly for roach so far in 2024, and continued to walk that path this time as well.
Targeting the right species is important, especially at this time of the year.
In that context, there are two good things about roach.
One is that they will feed even in the harshest of conditions and the other is that they’re widespread as far as angling access is concerned.
