Pond, pool and Montgomery Canal fishing | Perch, pike and roach | Life principle | Welsh football | The Church at Hiraeth | Bayside Radio | Monday memory

While Dilwyn is pampered, I go fishing

Footage from the water’s edge, as well as Dilwyn post-pampering.

Taking my dog to the beauty parlour, that usually gives me a couple of hours or so before I collect him.

It’s ideal to do some fishing and that’s exactly what I did.

One of the reasons that I manage so many sessions is because I often fit them around other things.

The pond in question had a tinge of colour from recent heavy rain that has swept across the country.

There’s a basic tackle approach in the accompanying video, which is my standard set-up for these types of venues.

I don’t mention the line and that’s 4lb Maxima Chameleon.

I wasn’t fishing far from the bank in water that dropped from two feet to three.

I flicked the bait at the deepest point, which then continues throughout the rest of the pond.

The catch consisted of a few small roach, but as I saw the big picture of the venue in question, it was an enjoyable session.
