Don’t just sing in the light, sing in the darkness as well
Although I was going fishing at first light, waking an hour plus before then I decided to go for a jog.
It was dark, and a chilly overnight meant that ice covered the car windshield, as I trotted off from the drive at home.
As I made my way, I heard a blackbird first and then a robin, both singing.
Most birds wait until the sun begins to rise before they come alive but these were in full song way before then.
I thought to myself, that’s the way to be, isn’t it?
Anyone can be happy when things are going their way but the key is to still be positive when they aren’t.
Don’t just sing when you’re in the light but sing in the darkness as well.
