Fishing the Montgomery Canal on the way to work
Although the River Seven is my first choice when it comes to fishing around work, it’s still not where I’d like it to be in terms of level, so plan b it was.
Not that it’s exactly a hardship to fish the Montgomery Canal though because it’s still somewhere I enjoy visiting in its own right.
The tackle and bait approach is in the video, as well as the spot where I settled for a couple of hours, as I alternated between two baited areas.
It is a rural area, although quite noisy due to the fact that I was fishing close to a road bridge that carries a busy main road.
Although I didn’t need the landing net, I still caught.
I banked roach, with one perch putting in an appearance.
