Another short, but sweet, session on a pond

This morning was particularly tight, as far as time was concerned, because my dog was booked in for a groom at 9.00 a.m.

That still left plenty of time though to fish, get home, shower and change before driving to Kingswinford.

After my last outing on a pond, where I fished with corn and went for quality over quantity, it was more of the same this time round.

The water was just a couple of feet deep and I presented a grain of corn on a size 14 hook, with my faithful 0.8g waggler letting me know when I had a bite.

The float wasn’t anywhere near as active as when I fish with maggots but, when it did disappear, it was a bigger roach on each occasion that had taken the bait.

The session was just less an hour long and it’s proof that as long as your bait’s in the water, regardless of how long, then you’ve always got a chance.
