September 6
Eight mallards (2 adults, 6 juveniles) on the main pond, sex starting to show as the juveniles develop.
Single moorhen.
Four juvenile teal on the pond. They flew off and returned several times, before disappearing totally.
First of the species seen in the valley.
September 15
Ten mallards on the main pool.
September 20
Sparrowhawk in flight across the valley from west to east.
September 28
First cormorant of the year, a single bird in high flight south to north over the valley.
