Groundhopping at Gwalchmai FC’s Maes Meurig

I went groundhopping on the evening at Gwalchmai FC’s Maes Meurig, as the hosts welcomed CPD Pentraeth in the North Wales Coast West Football League Premier Division.

A bit of a mouthful, I agree, but each of the eight words in the title is probably necessary in terms of description.

Anyway, talking of the number eight, that’s how many goals there were in the game, with the mid-table hosts beating the bottom-club visitors 7-1.

The opening exchanges saw some good football played by both sides, as they looked to pass it on the ground.

I certainly enjoyed the game on a pleasant Anglesey evening.

The attendance was good and although it wasn’t published on the Cymru Football app, I’d say it was certainly well in excess of 100.
